Photo Prompt by Dale Rogerson

Dear M,

I walk by the chapel. My heart quickens. My lips smile without my consent. I cannot wait to choose you before God. One day. One day we will be married, I don't care what they say. God will place us together, I know it. Until then, let our stolen minutes be a balm to your soul as they are to mine. I miss you in every moment. I miss you this moment. I watch the petals of wildflowers you picked for me float away on the river’s surface, and wish my tears could wash away your pain. If only.

If only.

I love you,

C.
